Description
Kerala is a state of India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.
Itinerary
- Pick up from Airport /Ernakulam Railway Station and drive to Munnar
- En route we shall sight beautiful waterfalls like Cheyyara, Valara and Attakadu along with spice plantation, (As per time availability)
- End up the first day by enjoying an overnight stay at the hotel.
- Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale.
- Buffet breakfast at hotel
- Post breakfast proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Munnar - Eravikulam National Park (Raja Malai), Mattupetty Dam, Tea estates and Museum, Eco Point, spice plantation, rose garden, photo point, Botanical Garden, blossom park, Kundala Dam and Top Station.
- Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar
If you want to add one more day in Munnar than After breakfast start for the sightseeing which includes Lockheart view point, Lakkam waterfall, Marayur sandalwood forest and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary.
For the rest of time get yourself wrapped by the majestic nature
- Post breakfast, leave for a four-hour long drive to Thekkady.
- While on drive to Thekkady enjoy the drive as the road winds through the thick jungles and rich plantation.
- Upon arrival, check in at one of our enlisted hotels in the city.
- Proceed for sightseeing - Periyar Lake, Thekkady rose park, also visit spice plantations where you will be allowed to shop for exotic spices.
- In the evening, we will go for a place to watch Kerala’s martial art as well its traditional dance form, Kathakali.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
- Post breakfast in the morning, Transfer to Alleppey (the land of backwaters and backbone of Kerala tourism).
- Upon Arrival check-in at house boat
- Enjoy the beauty of nature as your houseboat meanders through the network of lakes, lagoons and canals.
- In the evening, enjoy sunset cruise on the backwaters of Kerala.
- Stay overnight in houseboat in Alleppey.
Alleppey Houseboat
- Houseboat Check-in is at Noon and cruises till evening with a halt of 1 hour for lunch with the cruise till 5:30 pm.
- The boat will be anchored till the next day morning, with a 1 to 2 hour cruise in the morning for check out at 9 or 10 am.
- There are different categories of houseboats available like Deluxe, Premium, and Luxury, where Deluxe is the basic boat.
- In the houseboat, you will be greeted with a welcome drink, tea, snacks, mineral water, lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
After Breakfast, check-out from houseboat, Kerala is a wonder in India and will make every traveller come back again. But for now, it’s time to bid adieu to this beautiful state. You will end your tour in Alleppey by starting your onward journey back home.
